It Looks Like We Have a Cat.

It turns out that J'zargo isn't a Maine coon cat, he just had that look as a kitten.
The fur patterning is similar but he is small, slender and short-haired.
Right now he's trying to teach my sister how to hunt.
Every morning he brings her an unharmed but exhausted lizard, which he expects her to catch while he looks on in judgement.
Then he comes in, eats a symbolic amount of soft food and then returns to the wild.
He's very well fed... .

I had an outdoor cat whose preferred main course was baby rabbit, but never passed on what I set out, either. So that comment evokes memories of Rocket, whose photo (somewhat photoshopped) was used for my avatar.

J'zargo is no longer small or delicate.
He is now 12 pounds of silent and nearly invisible death.
Petting him is like petting thin fur wrapped around a rebar frame.
Apparently, he is from a local wild feral desert breed that is rarely domesticated
He is a remarkably polite cat that asks for and points to what he wants after making a single quiet meow to get my attention.
I've never seen anything like him.
