Wife Supposedly Got The Shanghai Shivers

Neither of us have the gene therapy shot and this doesn't change anything.

For the record I've basically been taking most of the I-Mask protocol long before this scamdemic. I tried to get my wife to get on board at the beginning of the scamdemic but she didn't think it necessary.

She got a pretty bad cough weekend before last and ended up going to the doctor last Tuesday. They took a chest x-ray and the doc said she had something I can't pronounce but he didn't think it had anything to do with the kung pow flu. She had zero symptoms other than a cough and trouble breathing. He sent her home with meds.

Next day she gets a call from work saying someone supposedly tested positive for the shivers so they insisted she get tested. She went back to the doctor on Wednesday and got tested. Thursday morning she gets a text saying she's positive.

A little backstory, both of us are very skeptical of these test with good reason. She is a nurse that works for a small practice. At the beginning of '21 the doc she works for was having everyone tested every two weeks. About two months in 5 out of 15 employees supposedly tested positive. As per suggestion back then he sent them home for two weeks. None of them had any symptoms nor got sick. When they came back to work he insisted they get tested for antibodies. None of them had any. At that point the doc was like the hell with this this, I'm not paying for tests that don't even work. He suspended all testing.

So anyway, my wife supposedly tests positive after a doc telling her she has something else unrelated to the teriyaki tickle. She gets pretty sick. Christmas weekend we were debating going to the ER. O2 levels were low 90's to upper 80's. I had started her on the vitamin regimen the day she came home with the chest x-ray.

With 1250mg of Elderberry twice a day, 10,000 IU vitamin D once a day, 1,000mg of vitamin C three times a day, 50mg Zinc twice a day, 5mg of Melatonin at night, Mucinex twice a day, Tylenol three times a day and using a nebulizer three times a day she is now almost back to normal after a little over a week. O2 levels are 98-100 sedentary and 95 give or take after pushing herself. Cough is minimal although she's still getting rid of some junk in the lungs.

She will be getting an antibody test soon because we're both curious.

BTW, I haven't been sick or had any symptoms the whole time I've been face to face with her caretaking.

The Couf is spreading through our county again.
Over 400 confirmed cases this week.
My place of business is back to providing curb-side service only starting today,
Everyone here has had the jab, as well as one form or another of COVID,
A couple of us have even had a booster.
None of us are particularly concerned about this disease re-emerging... .

I wish I could get an antibody test because I'm curious, too. But insurance won't cover it even if I can find a doctor to authorize it because it's not "medically necessary" and isn't "standard of care". I wouldn't be too surprised if I already had Omicron - two days with a scratchy throat and feeling crappy. But then again, maybe it was just a version of the "common cold". Which is basically what this pandemic is resolving to if they'd just not panic and let it run its course. I've been taking the Ivermectin paste prophylactically since January and going maskless and vaccineless the same. I have a minor cardiac issue, and based on the research I've done, for me getting vaccinated is a bigger health risk than catching Covid. No sense risking a high probability of turning a permanent minor issue into a permanent major one in exchange for avoiding an infinitesimally low probability of death. It's more risky just going to the store the way people are driving these days.

Good to hear the Mrs. is doing well.

According to my wife, who is in the medical field, getting the anti body test is just a matter of contacting your PCP and waiting the 1-2 weeks after you supposedly tested positive.

Of course with politics and how liberal most of the medical field is now a days I wouldn't be surprised in the least if they made it hard to get.

IMO it should be mandatory to get an anti body test if you supposedly tested positive for the kung pow flu given how unreliable the tests for the shivers are.

Thanks for the well wishes.

As an update she went to work yesterday and did ok. O2 levels remained above 96. She's still dealing with a cough but since we have the next 4 days off we're going to keep with the regimen and see what things look like Monday.

Update, she got the antibody test and according to that she had it. Her antibodies are through the roof.

She has been back to normal for a while except for an occasional cough. Doc said she needed to be on the treadmill daily to get back up to normal.

She still has a loss of smell for the most part. Certain things ring a bell but most things are a no go. Taste was never lost and is still there.

She's been back at work since the first of the year so .

Depending on the data source, it's estimated 70% - 80% of new covid cases have been among persons "fully vaccinated." So, no, get vaccinated and avoid all that no, probably not.

Israel, for example, is the most highly-vaccinated nation on earth:

Your link has been found to be false. Here......... https://www.reuters.com/article/fac...rs-remarks-taken-out-of-context-idUSL1N2UM16X

However, it is true that we shouldn't count on vaccination alone.

Covid is too tricky and new variants are even trickier.

Vaccination is not the end all.........we need to get the full vax with booster and then mask as appropriate and socially distance if we want to avoid the problems these folks suffered with Covid.

You've been rated troll for misinformation.

Thank God for the ignore feature.

Good story to convince folks to get the vax in the first place and avoid all that.
Yeah, right.
My sister and I both got the vax - and then Delta - and then Omicron.
Most of my office staff, as well.
The vax doesn't stop COVID, it just knocks some of the sharper edges off.
