It has been reported in the news media "The Capitol was on high alert for a potential attack on Thursday", and nothing happened. Is this to provoke a conflict or establish a pretext for bring out the military as support or replacement for police forces in cities around the country. Seems like Minneapolis is boarding up and getting the National Guard in place for the floyd trial; Last spring the National Guard could not be used to quell the weeks long rioting now they seem to be useful. Do folks in your neck of the woods really believe this is about a threat ?

Are you not aware of the QAnon March 4 'conspiracy'? Given how they got caught unawares January 6, you honestly expect them not to overprepare for anything remotely possible?

Are you sure that is not a reference to Capitol Police? Or just where the fences are? None of that necessarily has to do with the National Guard.

It doesn't specify. It, and the other articles mention the Capitol Police are "overburdened". You are aware that DC has its own National Guard?
It's the states-provided troops that are going home. No mention the DC Guard is standing down. I suspect they'll still be in the streets. Along with the existing fences.
