Who should run with Donald Trump in 2024?

Maybe the Republicans will smarten up and run someone with actual qualifications and intelligence. Someone with a little class and dignity, someone who maybe actually cares just a little about the American people. They should just forget about Trump, his presidency was a black mark on the history of this nation.
Agreed.

I voted for Romney once. I'd do it again.

'I think that there's a huge disconnect between Washington and the rest of the country'

Understatement of the decade ! And no matter what the TRUMP haters think, it ain't over until the fat lady sings, so far I have not heard anything........
He'll be cooking up something and I will support him without any hesitation or reservation.
He deserves full recognition for all the promises he has kept and the good things he has done for America.
History will be kind to him in contrast to the [email protected] kenyan turd who occupied the White House for 8 years and the retarded hair sniffer and his assisting prostitute.

Gosh, I do love insulting POS in the evening while sipping a fine, but cheap whiskey...........live is still good.

At least half of the Democrat's tool-set for rigging elections has been selecting the opposing candidates by having their people vote for their weakest and most beatable opponent in the primary elections.
That's how Trump made it through the 2016 Primaries, BTW - that and the press keeping their spotlight on him until the primaries were over.
Then they started throwing rocks.
That's how McCain was selected, as well.
Probably Romney is next... .

Cruze & Crenshaw would be a good 2024 ticket. Or maybe Mr. T & baby shark since we're headed toward idiocracy in a hurry. I like $$$$$$$.

I'd vote trump again in a heartbeat , even if I know my vote was wasted. He was such an effective and patriotic president, best we've had in a long time- people who don't agree are simply in denial or have had the truth hidden from them.

Romney is a used car salesman in an expensive suit. I voted for him because of who he ran.against. I would leave that part of the ballot unmarked or vote for some unknown running as a 3rd, 4th or 5th party candidate before I would vote for that weasel cock sucking POS bastard.
Okay, so basically you're not interested in any moderates or middle ground politics. And you also know you can't win the popular vote, and probably can't win the EC with such a polarizing character as Trump.

You're in the minority and won't compromise, so enjoy your fantasy....until you lose again. Which you will.

For some reason, people think that standing on those principles is a solution...and they'll still be standing there in their little group while the current trend continues. Railing against the system the whole time, while they get further and further behind. The last election wasn't a landslide and was within reach, but they don't want to figure out how to close the gap. It's easier to make excuses and claim fraud.

I don't give a shit if there was fraud. We lost. It's over, and they're not changing the results. You're not overthrowing the government. So either get busy trying to figure out the best way to WIN an election, or go ahead and give up now. (Hint, a candidate with some actual honor would be a good start) I'm sick and tired of the crybaby stuff. Chase Trump down to Florida and go pout in his corner with him, then maybe follow Hillary's lead and go on the 4 year excuses tour.

The Republican party might be a sham, but given the alternative, it's the best we got AFAIC. Can't work with that? Then just keep doing what you're doing and it won't matter... you're just helping the Democrats widen the gap.

WTF is this shit with compromise and bipartisanship?

First of all, your idea of bipartisanship it is only acceptable for the left when the weak republicans are giving in, second, there are a few things in life when any rational person has to draw the line and cannot compromise, as in the Constitution.

Based on y'all's unreasonable demands, there is no middle ground.

The left is basically asking, supporting and getting censorship of all conservative values at this time, but keep forgetting that there will be the point of no return, and you and your left comrades will be unprepared for the response. Just a matter of time.

Do you really want to pay $ 4-6 for gasoline for an environmentally pipe dream while you cannot afford a gallon of milk for your kids because you cannot drive to the store with your car?
Guaranteed basic income for lazy azzholes who have absolutely no desire to work?
Paying for drug-rehab while voting to make drugs legal?
Forgiving all student debts?
And don't forget, the incoming wave of criminal/illegals will take your and your families jobs away,
The level of stupidity displayed by some dimwits is astounding.

OK, those that were not members of the loose alliance that currently calls itself the Democrat Party lost the last election.
The equally loose alliance that mostly calls itself the Republican party should start examining why it lost.

The primary reason that Trump lost, for example, is that most of the leadership of the Republican party despised him.
Not particularly for his bombast or lies, especially.
No, they hated him because he was an outsider, not one of "US" and kept empowering the middle class, which are the natural enemies of "US".
The "US" in-group are those that consider themselves to be the new aristocracy and are mostly fighting amongst themselves to become the new royalty.
(This is equally true among the Democrat leadership.)
Trump saw value in improving the power and the lifestyles of the middle class (those that the aristocrats traditionally called the villains).
This was intolerable.
Trump will now be primaried out in any future election, regardless of who his running mate may be,
He just rocks the boat too much.

The reason that the Republicans lost Senate seats was that they refused to fully back their supposed leader and allowed the odd rule changes that let their opponents do things like widely distribute easily falsified mail-in votes, count votes without supervision and use questionable voting devices.
The aristocrat Republicans tolerated this as part of the cost of getting rid of that "mushroom", Trump.
Whether they allow it again... .

Moderate, like fkng comrade Joe and Kamala? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 The only thing you tend to find in the middle of the road is road kill. And don't tell me Bumbles is a moderate, his actions thus far have been anything but.

This is the thinking that has kept the Republicans from ever doing anything useful.

Republicans have wasted the last quarter century waiting for this magical candidate that is equal parts Ronald Reagan and William F Buckley and as a result end up running useless Quislings like Romney and McCain and now you're arguing that we should do that again.

No we need a street fighter, not an eurodite, well mannered castrato.

That said, the elections are rigged. That's not getting fixed in the next 4 years (if ever).

The primary reason that Trump lost, for example, is that most of the leadership of the Republican party despised him.
No the reason that Trump lost is because the election was rigged ... in an unrigged election he would likely have won in a landslide that would dwarf Reagan and Nixon's landslides.

All these people coming up with their theories of how Trump should have done this or that keep ignoring the fact that whatever he did worked were it not for the rigging.

No. I don't mean moderates like them. I mean actual middle of the road moderates. Which Donald Trump is most definitely not.

Yeah yeah yeah, I get it. You're upset and frustrated and you want it your way. But you can't have it your way. The only chance the Republicans have of regaining traction is to win the independent voters. And as an independent voter I can tell you, Trump is never getting my vote.

If the Republicans want the independent voters, they need to put up a reasonable candidate who didn't do bits for the WWF, star in his own reality TV show, and who won't ignore sound input from his advisors because he doesn't like reality. If they put up a real candidate inst ad of a real clown, I and others like me, might be willing to vote for them.

The Trump 2024 fantasy is a joke. It's never going to happen. He is done. Move along.

McCain was too old and frail. Romney was up against an incumbent, which rarely goes well for the challenger.
McCain was a treasonous louse ... Romney has shown himself to be little better but he could have won if he'd actually fought. He came out swinging at the first debate and his numbers went through the roof ... but then he decided it was his White Man's burden to not speak in harsh tones to the poor little brown boy so he stopped fighting and all but endorsed Obama purely because of his skin color.

Dude if you want a moderate, try to get Tulsi back in the fight with the D's and vote for her because the R's can't afford to play footsie anymore.
