Who Controls the International Borders?

Meanwhile, Governor Abbott is forcing the Mexican states that border Texas to start inspecting north-bound truck traffic.
The state of Nuevo Leon has agreed to start inspecting the trucks going to the bridges near Laredo, so the inspections on the US side will return to normal. Some of the other Mexican border states are in negotiations with the Governor and they may clear up this part of the problem pretty quick.

Another part of the problem is with the oncoming flood of "migrants" flooding in because of the Biden administration of the Title 42 "Remain in Mexico" policy. Nuevo Leon has apparently agreed to cooperate with Texas on that point, as well. The other border states are negotiating on this point, too.
But as Governor Abbott says, "Until, however, those agreements are reached with those states, the Texas Department of Public Safety will continue to thoroughly inspect vehicles entering into the United States from every Mexican state except Nuevo Leon."

The really interesing part of this story are entities involved are totally bypassing their normal chain of sovereign state to sovereign state negotiating protocol and are just doing what they need to do to get the job done. Or in other words: DC and DF de Mexico are irrelevant?

When federal officials refuse to do their duties then it falls to the states to defend themselves by using what powers remain within their control... .

Interesting.
They have opened another assembly and storage yard in Pharr, Texas.
It's smaller than the others.
The other yards are not really full, so why another yard?
Does this indicate that Wall construction is a "Go" again?

Yep, but slowly... .

Relating to the semi-truck deaths (51, so far), the "cloned" trailer is copied from a company in my little town of Alamo, Texas.
Coincidentally, my neighbor, a trucker, hasn't been around for a few days.
He and his clan had spent the last few weeks reconditioning a big reefer unit... .

It looks like it wasn't my neighbor.
Whew.
But, sadly, the death count from this incident is now up to 53.

Abbott says truck inspections are on again.
-And Kamala STILL hasn't visited the Valley.

And, yes, I'm seeing that the big, permanent, concrete-cored steel bollard Wall panels are going out from the Pharr, Texas storage yards, on their way to getting installed on the Hidalgo County border.
Maybe Biden's portable, "possibly" temporary mini-panels may get installed in Starr and Cameron Counties.

It looks like the State of Texas may actually have some say over the Texas border... .

Texas has arrested thousands at the US-Mexico border as state expands powers to arrest migrants

Fox News
Texas authorities have arrested nearly 10,000 migrants who illegally crossed the U.S.-Mexico border under a new "arrest and jail" operation aimed at deterring illegal immigration.

Following the successful arrests, Texas passed a new law that will bolster the smaller-scale operation to expand the authority to make arrests, as well as give local judges the authority to order the migrants out of the country. The changes go into effect in March.

The new law comes after Texas first launched the smaller-scale operation to arrest migrants on misdemeanor trespassing charges in July 2021 as Texas-Mexico border crossings reached 1.2 million that fiscal year.

The initiative allows border landowners to enter agreements with the state authorizing trespassing arrests, clearing the way for law enforcement to apprehend migrants who enter the U.S. through those properties.

Border crossings topped 1.5 million over the past fiscal year.

"They’re still coming through here," Maverick County Sheriff Tom Schmerber said.

The trespassing arrests have been a cornerstone of Abbott’s nearly $10 billion border mission known as Operation Lone Star that has tested the federal government’s authority over immigration.

In addition, Abbott has sent an estimated 80,000 migrants on buses to Democrat-led cities, including New York, Chicago, and Washington, D.C.

The arrests have drawn legal challenges, including claims of due process violations. Civil rights organizations have also sued to stop the new law signed by Abbott from taking effect, calling it an unconstitutional overreach that encroaches on the U.S. government's immigration authority.

-So the question remains: Who does really control the international borders?

It's amusing that the federal government is telling the state of Texas that the state can not remain in control of a state park... .
Correction - it's a CITY park!

Now the Dems want to nationalize the Texas National Guard - and the National Guards of any state that indicates that it might resist the massive federal human smuggling scheme that has flooded our country with law-breakers from around the world.

Then again, the Dems want to federalize ALL city and state police and armed forces... .

So the question remains: Who does really control the international borders?
Apparently not Kamala Harris as Katie Couric tells her she's not in charge of the border.

When Katie Couric said 68% of Americans disapprove of Biden administration's "open border" policy and 14 Democrats denounced it as "national security and public safety crisis", Kamala Harris stated "Our immigration system is broken and needs to be fixed" (13:12 minute of video):

The primary duty of the federal government is to defend the United States and its borders.
If it refuses to do so, do they still have the right to impose taxes that are primarily supposed to be used for national defense?
Could this be why they are bringing in thousands of new armed IRS agents?

Biden complained he doesn't have the power to fix the border ... Didn't the border become a problem when Biden reversed 97% of Trump border policy under presidential executive orders? (He ran on "Build the wall") So all Biden has to do is reinstate Trump policy he reversed under presidential executive orders. What else does he need? He can sign an executive order any day. ;)

Remember 60 Minutes reporting about the "Hole in the wall" from the "Invasions" thread? - https://notechtyranny.com/index.php?threads/invasions.308/page-2#post-9585

Here's an update - https://www.cbsnews.com/news/checkpoint-set-up-in-mexico-near-us-border-gap-60-minutes/

American border officials knew about the hole near his property and that he'd asked for it to be fixed. "'You gotta call Washington D.C,' that's what they say" ...
U.S. Customs and Border Protection told 60 Minutes that closing the gap was on the agency's priority list, but it would require money from Congress. CBP said border patrol agents do not have legal authority to stop people from coming through gaps like the one by Shuster's home. Agents can only arrest the migrants after they enter illegally

After Kate Monroe, CA GOP candidate, blocked the hole with razor wire she paid out of pocket, Mexico now has set up a check point at the same location. (Jump to 2:30 minute of video in next post)
