What does your sceen name mean?

My screen name is actually my name. It’s a hold over from the early days of TFL when Rich Lucibella encouraged everyone to register with their real name to keep things civil.

Mine goes back to an edict by a crusty E8 when I was an O-1 commanding three small boats. The boats each had an OIC, a GM/1 or BM/1, and the Squadron commander was "skipper."

I'm a martial artist and weapons student from way back and also a software engineer so the 'Sharp' is a double entendre, Dog, well, I love dogs (and pretty much act like one)

Nothing, really. I was a screen name that I took years ago when I regularly visited The Fedora Lounge. It sounded kind of 1920s mob-like, which I associate with fedoras. Then I just kept it as I joined new forums.

My University had a fictional student who managed to get enrolled in every single class every single quarter, despite the admin efforts to prevent it. it was always amusing on the first day with a new teacher to hear them call out that name - reminded me of that scene from Ferris Bueller

A character in a Victorian poem by Robert Browning, loosely based on Abraham ben Meir Ibn Ezra, that I was introduced to by Isaac Asimov.

RABBI BEN EZRA.

Grow old along with me!
The best is yet to be,
The last of life, for which the first was made:
Our times are in His hand
Who saith "A whole I planned,
Youth shows but half; trust God: see all, nor be afraid!"

My middle name. Changed mine to be the same as my adopted father's middle name and it's his great grandad.

And if I have a son, I'm gonna name him Bill or George, any damn thing but Sue!

Just kidding. I'll give him the same middle name.
