Trump and the Wall

Treason on a daily basis, someone needs to charge this administration with treason and take these assholes OUT and execute them.

It is more than justified and long overdue.

A bit of a change, here on the Border.
The local Catholic charities are begging the state and local governments to block more illegals from crossing the border.
It seems that these charities have taken it upon themselves to test these aliens for COVID and other diseases and then to care for those that are sick.
These charities are now swamped,
483 cases so far this week.
Admittedly, over 80 of these cases are Border Patrol members that have been in contact with these diseased Central Americans.
-So, when you hear in the mainstream media about how "all of those new COVID cases are among those that have refused vaccination and are probably Trumpanzees," just remember that the folks that are flooding across the border are unvaccinated as well and are seriously adding to the infection count and assisting in the spread of the disease... .

according to a local conservative voice there are 4 or 5 cities in Louisiana which have been swamped with illegals, and coincidentally the wuhan-virus is spreading there more than in other locations.
Seems like the biden ""administration"" is preparing for another voting by mail disaster by creating virus hot zones and therefore leaving the mask and distance mandates in place.
Our children will never know the America we learned to love unless something dramatic is happening soon.

I may have read earlier today that the number has increased to as many half of the around 1900 "migrants" that were turned loose yesterday or the day before have tested positive.

But CBP has been told not to stop the truckloads of these folks crossing the border. Seems a Federal judge down there determined letting them go made more sense.

don't know why he was waiting so long, the 7th of January would have been good enough for that:

Remember the huge federal corruption case against those folks that were accused of swindling investors by claiming to be building some private sections of The Wall?
According to my local paper, "The federal government's two-and-a-half year long lawsuit against the builders of a private border wall south of Mission came to an end Tuesday morning when prosecutors filed a stipulation for dismissal in federal court. ... '
Apparently, the feds were afraid that the construction could potentially put the United States in violation of a 1970 international boundary treaty with Mexico - or something... .

Actually, the whole thing was just another "Block Trump's Wall" maneuver.

Work on the Wall continues.

Governor Abbott held a news conference at the current construction site near San Benito.
This section of the wall sits about one-third of a mile away from the Rio Grande and is near the Los Indios Port of Entry.

“The reason why this wall is located here — and the reason why you will see other segments of walls placed in different locations around the state — is because we’re putting a wall up where we get the land rights from the land owner to be able to build a border wall,” Abbott said.

The Texas Facilities Commission works with property owners to facilitate the process of land acquisition. The governor is hoping other landowners will collaborate with the state to allow the building of more miles.

The cost on average per mile is about $25 million to build one mile of a border wall. It can vary depending on location, material expenses and the cost of acquiring the land, he said.

Governor Abbott has named a State Border Czar, Michael Banks, a 23-year veteran of law enforcement, serving his first 10 years in the U.S. Navy — 2 1/2 as a U.S. Air Marshal — and the rest with the U.S. Border Patrol.
“For me, the number one priority is to make the state of Texas the least desirable place for illegal immigration to cross,” Banks said in an interview with The Monitor, a local newspaper.
As an agent, Banks worked in Arkansas, California, Washington D.C. and Texas.
Specifically, in the Valley, Banks was the patrol agent in charge of the Border Patrol stations in McAllen, Brownsville, Rio Grande City and Weslaco. He retired 10 days ago and the next day he was hired to return to Weslaco DPS Headquarters working under the Office of the Governor as border czar.

Notably absent from the press conference was any mention of Vice President Kamala Harris who Biden named as his border czar at the infancy of his administration.

The Wall has gone amphibious.
Chains of orange floats, festooned with razor wire to make them better obstructions (and to make them harder to sabotage) are being stationed down the middle of the Rio Grande at some main crossing spots.

Biden says that he's gonna sue.

Governor Abbott says, "See you in court."

And now, our local paper (the McAllen Monitor) is trying to claim that the 1000-foot-long float string has killed two people, including a child!

Everyone else is reporting that two bodies were recovered in the Rio near Eagle Pass, one of them not too far from the float.
Apparently, both drowned somewhere upstream.
Some, like myself, are sad about the deaths.
Others are apparently sad that these deaths don't strengthen their narrative... .

Now The McAllen Monitor is claiming that this little string of buoys is "dividing communities".

I guess that the international border, barbed-wire-topped hurricane fence, the Rio Grande, the Border Patrol and a passel of federal and state laws didn't divide those communities... .

Now you, too, can buy a chunk of the Wall.
Since the 'Finish It Act' bill has been introduced the Department of Defense started putting up Wall materials stored in Arizona for auction.

According to Fox News, "The Biden administration reportedly has been selling off millions of dollars’ worth of border wall materials in a race against Republicans who are vying to pass legislation to finish its construction.

Steel "square structural tubes" photographed in a storage lot in Arizona were listed for sale on GovPlanet, an online auction marketplace run by publicly traded Canadian company Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers, this month. Those 28-foot-tall hollow beams are "excess border wall materials that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers turned over to the DLA for disposition and are now for sale," the Department of Defense’s logistics agency first confirmed to the Daily Upside and later the New York Post.

GovPlanet, which specializes in military surplus, has sold 81 lots of those beams for about $2 million, according to the Post."

"Congressional Republicans, meanwhile, noted that an investigation found the Department of Defense has been spending $47 million per year, or $130,000 per day, to store the leftover border wall panels in the Southwest.

In May, Sens. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, Roger Wicker, R-Miss., the ranking member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, and Sen. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, introduced the Finish It Act. The legislation would require the federal government to use previously purchased and unused border wall panels to extend the wall along the U.S.-Mexico border or to transfer them to state governments – such as Texas – to be used for wall construction."

Interesting.
The DOJ states that the 100 meters of floats that run down the middle of the Rio break a treaty with Mexico.
The treaty is concerned with impediments to navigation on the Rio.
The Rio is four feet deep or less at that point... .

Just drove down to the little town of Las Penitas (est.1520) for a library meeting.
I drove along the border wall for several miles along the way.
There were several big gates along the way, most of them open and unattended.
Closed border?
I think not.

Well, the Wall panels are being moved around in the Donna storage and assembly lot.
I guess that it's on - again... .
