The corruption and hypocracy are blowing my mind

I'm watching this Ukraine phone call whistle-blower thing blow up in the face of the Democrats and I'm just dumbfounded. I had no idea things were this bad.

In summary: I believe Donald Trump, the face of brash excess and impulsive behavior, is the least corrupt person in Washington DC. That blows my mind.

As far as I can tell things break down like this.

• Whistle-blower approaches Adam Schiff's office.
• Schiff's office directs the anonymous whistle-blower to a nonprofit set up by lawyers in DC specifically to bring down Trump using whistle-blowers. (Google Mark Zaid, Bradley P. Moss and Andrew P. Bakaj for a source - I don't have one handy. I believe they are paying whistle-blowers to come forward though.)
• Sometime in here the rules are changed on whistle-blowing from requiring first-hand knowledge to allowing second- or third-hand knowledge.
• The report is filed with the IG, likely with coordination from Schiff's office. Leaks start coming out.
• Trump releases the transcript of the conversation, and the complaint filed by the whistle-blower which seems to have surprised the Democrats. They couldn't build a real impeachment case on the actual contents of the phone call.
• So Schiff crafts his own narrative (later called "parody" when questioned about it) in the hearing, which is passed around in a way that low information voters will think those are actually Trump's words. Pelosi goes on 60 minutes and lies about this whole thing. Pelosi even stuck with "what Schiff said was totally, 100% Trump's words" narrative when she got pushback from George Stephanopolous, repeating the narrative.
• Now, Trump is saying he won't comply with any requests for information unless the House has a formal vote in Impeachment.

Here's where it gets interesting:

Biden Outed as Corrupt: lots of mainstream news stories from the last few years have been dug up that make it clear there's some shady dealings going on in areas where Biden had control. Namely:

• Biden's son (the unsuccessful one) was receiving between $50,000 and $83,000 per month for a "work from home" job on the board of a shady oil enterprise in Ukraine.
• Biden used coercion (what they're accusing Trump of, but which Biden did blatantly then bragged about at a Council of Foreign Relations speaking engagement) to get the prosecutor looking into his son fired.
• Later, Biden and Son traveled on Air Force Two to China, and a few weeks later the Chinese government gave $1 billion to Biden's son's new hedge fund to manage. Later this was upped to $1.5 billion

As an aside, people are upset that Biden's kid was making $600,000 - $1,000,000 in a job he had know training or experience for, but that's not the big story here. Hedge funds typically charge 2 and 20 for management, meaning each year clients pay 2% of assets under management and 20% of the gains the fund sees. That means that at a minimum a firm owned by Hunter Biden, Whitey Bulger's Nephew (truth is stranger than fiction), and someone associated with John Kerry was bringing in $30 million every year just for holding the money. Assume they underperformed the market and only made a 5% return on the assets they managed and that's another $15 million every year. The narrative is changing but this NY Times article suggests Hunter Biden owned 10%, which means Hunter Biden (or the Biden family) has been bringing in $4,500,000 every year since 2014 on the China deal. That's huge.

And the media is letting Biden get away with it, and providing as much cover as they can. 10 years ago they'd get away with it completely, but with Trump tweeting stuff like this it's not really possible:





So that's the history. Warren won't say clearly that she wouldn't allow this sort of behavior in her Administration. Pelosi sees it as no big deal, but you wanna know what is a big deal?

Is this true? Well, here's Pelosi's son bumbling through an interview talking about Soccer in Ukraine that suggests it is. As an aside, did you know Gavin Newsom, current governor of California, is Pelosi's nephew? Maybe we should start talking about our Ruling Class, and Family Dynasties...

Anyway, Obama going from $100,000 in assets to nine figures after the presidency? Not surprising if this is what everyone in Washington is doing.

There's so much more to cover (like the Ambassador to Ukraine threatening Ukraine if they didn't drop the investigation into a Soros owned company, and comparing what Hillary/DNC actually did versus what the Democrats are saying Trump did, and the walk everyone got after Hillary deleted evidence and destroyed personal phones with hammers, and....) but I want to try and stay coherent.

It's worse than I thought. Which means Trump, who I barely voted for, is more important than I thought.

It’s entirely possible that the dem establishment doesn’t really hate trump and is just blaming him for the same thing they’re doing solely as a way to cover their crimes. Get the population Saying stuff like “Pick your sleaze bag. Stop being naive true believers worshipping your sleaze bag” and they’d be pretty successful making it a tribe x vs y thing instead of focusing on the actual crimes committed. Shame we’re not smarter than that.

The whole thing goes back years earlier to around 2012. Obama and his crew of criminals started abusing the FISA database and using it to run political surveillance on their enemies. And oddly enough, Obama cooked his own goose in January 2014 when he nominated Admiral Mike Rogers to become the director of the NSA which had oversight of the FISA database.

In early 2016, someone on Admiral Rogers' staff noticed a large number of improperly predicated searches of the database. Many of the searches were being initiated by people/entities that were NOT in the chain of authorities who should have legally had access to run those searches. Many of those using the database were government "contractors" - people actually outside of the government.

Rogers ordered an audit which revealed the scope of the problem. He forwarded the results of his audit to Judge Rosemary Collyer who at the time was presiding judge of the FISA court. She, in turn, wrote her own scathing report that verified that fully 85% of the searches initiated during the time period of the audit were, in fact, illegal. During this time Rogers shut off the access pathways to the outside government contractors.

This created two problems for the Obama administration. First, they lost their source of surveillance of their political enemies at a very critical time - the looming presidential election. Second, they became exposed legally to the abuse of the FISA database.

What was needed, then, was a way to regain access to the FISA database to resume surveillance, and also to create a legal predicate for using the database in order to hide the illegal activities behind subsequent legal ones.

So now we're getting to Christopher Steele... It appears that one of the government contractors who had been given illegal access to the FISA database was political research firm, Fusion-GPS. So Fusion-GPS then brought Mr. Steele into the loop. They needed someone foreign because the "F" in FISA stands for Foreign. Steele was to be the the mule who would carry the "intelligence" created by Fusion-GPS back to the FBI to make it appear the the info was legitimately coming from a foreign intelligence source. Steele actually wrote very little of his "dossier", most of it was fed to him by Fusion-GPS.

At the same time as this was happening, the CIA and FBI began running "confidential human sources" against George Papadopoulos and Carter Page in an attempt to trap them into saying or doing something that would make them a legitimate and legal target of a FISA warrant. Ultimately, these attempts failed, but the FBI threw a Hail Mary and outright lied to the FISA court in order to get a warrant against Carter Page and regain access to the FISA database. They were successful. But what their success did not get them was information that they hoped to exploit to derail Trump's candidacy.

Once Trump was elected, all of the bad actors knew they were about to be greatly exposed. This kicked things into high gear and the attempt to stop Trump from being elected now became an attempt to prevent him from taking office. That failed.

But once he took office, there were now two objectives. One was to remove Trump from office and the second was to tie his hands in the mean time to prevent him from investigating them. Hence the Mueller investigation. That was unsuccessful at removing Trump from office but was VERY effective in tying his hands to prevent him from exposing the illegal activities of the cabal. And, of course, the Mueller Report was then exploited as the basis of the impeachment activity that was detailed at the start of this thread.

So that kinda brings us to today... AG Barr has given a couple interviews in the past week or so that make it sound like perhaps some of the bad actors in this tragedy may be brought to justice, one way or another. Maybe, but don't hold your breath on that one. Perhaps a little fish or two will be sacrificed, but no whales.

While the people who perpetrated the illegal activities that bought us to this point may have done many stupid things, they are NOT stupid people. They did not just by happenstance arrive at the positions they held. They were groomed, coached, supported and promoted into their positions over many years. They were supported and boosted not just by other corrupt individuals, but by corrupt systems as well. So the people whose names we do know, have done as much as possible to protect themselves. And the corrupt people in the background whose names we don't know all want to survive as do the systems and organizations that fostered this whole debacle. So they all protect each other.

It is important to note, that all of this leads back to Obama. There is no way on God's Green Earth that everything that took place while he was in office could have taken place without him knowing - and approving - what was going on. As the nation's first African American president, he will be untouchable in any legal fallout. But since all roads lead to him, there can be no major fallout.

I think perhaps the best we can hope for is that there are still enough good people in positions of power and influence that they will be able to steer the ships back on course.
