So they're investigating Trump again... .

The Dems are going to have to work fast.
Their House majority is going away.
Then the Repubs can start investigating all of the stupid things that the Dems did... .

Actually the agenda is to convict him of a felony so he will be ineligible to hold a federal office such as the Presidency.

They're trying to say that if they find that Trump mis-handled classified documents then they can ban him from public office.

Odd.

Mis-handling classified documents never disqualified Hillary or any of the other Dems... .

Sandy Berger, the former National Security Adviser under the Clinton Administration, wasn't banned from public office when he stuffed a bunch of documents in his shorts and smuggled them out of the National Archives in 2003.
According to the National Archives site on notable thefts, "Berger was sentenced to 100 hours of community service and probation and fined $50,000. He also had to pay $6,905 for the administrative costs of his two-year probation. Berger also lost his security clearance and license to practice law."
Odd... .

Odd... .

He was allowed to plead guilty to a misdemeanor. Hillary or the other dems have never been prosecuted. Mainly because had Trump done so it would have been the start of a civil war.

It looks like this raid has turned into a real hot potato and it has landed on A G Garland.
He'll probably get it unsealed so that he can blame it on someone else... .

Ironically that won't work. There's nothing in the Constitution that says a felon can't run for President. He just won't likely be able to vote for himself if he does. The only conviction that would actually prohibit him from running is Insurrection.

I saw on 1 of the news shows that if he is under indictment for a felony, he cannot run. So as long as he is charged, and never goes to court, he would not be eligible.

I'd have to see actual citation of statute before I believed something said on a news show :)

I think the argument is that someone under indictment for or convicted of a felony wouldn't likely win, but I don't think it's an actual ineligibility thing.

According to Article II of the Constitution, there's only 3 qualifiers for President:

  • Must be at least 35 years old.
  • Must be a resident of the United States.
  • Must be a native-born citizen of the United States.
That's it.

Every President has had a standing order automatically declassifying any documents they take with them when leaving office. No former President has been investigated, much less warranted and raided for documents in their possession. This is simply political weaponization of the Department of Justice on a specious affadavit (everybody forget the Russia hoax???) authorized by a compliant no-account magistrate to try to prevent Donald Trump from ever again becoming President. Something that only before has characterized banana republics. Which, apparently, the Democractic Party is hellbent on reducing this country to. But it's backfiring on them big time, rallying the Trumpsters around to support their favorite Swamp-buster. I just can't believe how the Democrats keep shooting themselves in the foot. It's incredible. They wouldn't recognize Truth if it came up and bit them in the ass. Which it has already repeatedly done. Democrat politicians have got to be the stupidest people on the planet. Democratic voters, PLEASE wake up and pay attention to these idiots you've been voting for!!

I have previously looked (not knowing where all to look) and haven’t been able to verify my earlier statement. I just threw it out there, as something I had heard, as a possible game plan of the Dems.

-So they just released Trump's tax returns from after he divested himself of his profit-making holdings.
They were obviously hoping to find that he was a clumsy tax cheat.
Shocking!
He didn't make a profit on his lifestyle, his private jets, his limousine fleet and his domiciles.
Supposedly, that means that he is either an idiot and a poor businessman or he's about to go bankrupt.

No, that means he is (or his accounting team and lawyers are) exceedingly savvy at offsetting capital gains with capital losses so as to pay no net tax. A feature of U.S. tax law available to any and every U.S. taxpayer that has taxable investments, and every capital entity (ie corporations), and all are just doing what the law allows and they aren't tax cheats.

Now Joe and Hunter have stepped in it - deep!
Joe retained confidential and top secret materials as vice president - which he had no right to do - and then scattered them in his Chinese-funded office and the home that he rented to Hunter - at ten times the going rate.
That's how to slide that ten percent to the Big Guy... .

They're getting pretty desperate... .
