We can have that here right?

I'll start by posting a couple meals recently made. Feel free to not only add to it but ask questions about things you may want to cook.

I already posted the steak, another is a chicken I smoked last weekend, and yet another is a mixture of chuck and brisket hamburgers with jalapeno fries I did tonight.

What do you do for the jalapeño fries? That sounds like something I could get behind.

Pretty simple actually.

Take a bunch of jalapenos, de-core them and slice them stem to stern 1/4 - 3/8" thick. Then batter them however you like and fry until golden brown.

My wife actually suggested trying the air fryer after I already had oil in the pan and heated. I keep forgetting we have that thing. We may try that next go around.

They are addictive if you like jalapenos.

I know it's supposed to be a healthier option, but nothing I've air fried comes anywhere close to deep fried. It does ok reheating stuff that's already been fried though. Great for leftover pizza too.

I'm inclined to agree with you.

The only things I've tried out of the AF are chicken tenders and both frozen and homemade fries.

The chicken was a little drier than Id prefer but not terrible. The fries, if you put a teaspoon of oil in the catch pan are actually pretty good. Not exactly the same as deep fried but definitely acceptable.

Like I said my wife uses it way more than I do. I regularly forget we have it.

BTW I've got a big meal planned for this Father's day weekend so stay tuned.

Hopefully some of you guys do too...
No big plans, but probably throw a brisket on the smoker early Saturday morning and take some over to dad.
My kid said he'd make me breakfast in bed, but it would be more like brunch by the time he gets up....so I'd have to go back to bed for that.

Mama mentioned fixing me a ham loaf and her broccoli casserole, which would be just fine with me.

So what we have here are BBQ stuffed and bacon wrapped jalapenos, homemade sausage stuffed and bacon wrapped pork tenderloin and my world famous homemade succotash.

The other sides were store bought because the wife got lazy so no plate up pic, these will have to do.

Bought a Blackstone griddle today. I've been wanting one for a while. Got the 28" model because I'm a poor.

Made smash burgers tonight and they were life changing. I'm never cooking a burger on the grill again.

Me seasoning the griddle and a finished pic. No time for pics during cooking its just so fast.

I didn't grab a picture and it's all gone now but tonight I made fajitas with some deer roast I had thawed out. For me this is more or less a staple: fills me up good and is quick to prepare.
