The new "variant of concern" - as per the WHO: Omicron. SARS-CoV-2 B.1.1.529
Where from? South Africa? Most likely.
Already spreading worldwide? Yes. (Mostly just to Europe, so far).
More contagious than Delta? Yes. Estimated R0 = 2.
Makes people sicker? Don't know.
Current vaccines effective against? Probably not very. (Too many mutations. Pfizer working on it.)
Natural immunity protects? Don't know.
Lockdowns again? You bet. Already starting in Europe.
MSM panicking? What did you expect?
Fauci again in the limelight? You know he'd take advantage.
More mandates coming? To be seen ...

plus it would put another nail on the coffin of the wife ever having to go into the office to work.

The opinion of a SA doctor treating Omicron-variant patients is that the disease symptoms they're seeing are less severe than Delta.

What I take from this report is that the virus is following its normal evolutionary path for any new virus. It's discovering a level of contagion high enough to infect its hosts along with a level of severity that makes them sick without killing them.

Humans have a pretty long history of messing with natural processes and producing results that either prolong the natural outcome or make the natural outcome worse.

So, if the opinion of the SA doctor is true for the general course of this variant (which remains to be seen, but please, just the facts Fauci, none of your Deep-State politically and profit-motivated "science") - I think the best course of action wrt to Omicron is .... just .... do nothing.
