Netflix Documentary: Coronavirus Explained

I got on to Netflix this morning and they had a new limited series. 'Coronavirus Explained'. There's only one episode currently, and it's 26 minutes long. But if like me, you are not well versed in viruses and pandemics and how they work, it's worth watch.

If you watch it, let us know what you think.

I'll watch it, but even the people that should know the most about the corona don't know much.
That's probably quite true. They do call it "novel" for a reason. I have no idea how long it takes to research the various aspects of a new strain of a virus. But it seems to me that all those experts are focusing pretty heavily on finding some way to mitigate the spread or treat the virus directly rather than other types of research, such as better understanding the acute details of how exactly it spreads.

I think it's sometimes too easy for us to expect too much from experts.

Netflix has turned some good shows into carp with there way far left in there series and movies. There a few things I try watching and could not get through the first episode. The tiger king was very funny and entertaining tho.

Some things are factual. Those often have some bias one way or another. Other things are entertainment, and the bias those may or may not have is relatively unimportant to me.

Bias seems almost inevitable in the modern age (and it has probably always been that way). I find the key is simply to look for it in what I watch, take all information with a certain degree of skepticism, and fact check what I think I need to. To me there seems a danger in ignoring information based on another's opinion of how biased it may or may not been.

I tried watching the Roswell show, could not get through 10 minutes. Try to watch longmire, when they got to the part where they found the dead gug, with all the wrong info about guns I turned it off.

There's a difference between bias and bashing, I'm not spending my time watching it.

I get my news and information from trusted and reputable sources. Not convinced that netflix has my best interest in mind. Entertaining me perhaps, providing me with an unbiased prestation of factual information, not so much.

Your choice. But it's hard to make a determination without watching it. It's only 26 minutes.
