Interesting Weather

I'm sitting in my closed down library, waiting for the techs to arrive.
We had a heavy thunderstorm last night with 90 mph winds and lots of lightning.
Power is out over much of the area and trees and wires are down.
We've got power up here, but the computers have to get re-started by IT.
Since computer services are the primary service that we're offering while the COVID restrictions remain, there's not much reason to open.
Meanwhile, I've got two trees that pretty much exploded in front of the building, A/C units that will need repairs and no staff except myself.

How's the weather in your neck of the woods?

We weren't the only ones that were hammered.
The "undocumented aliens" that were held under the Anzalduas bridge in McAllen and in the tent city here in Donna were moved to shelters during the storm,
They've mostly been moved back to their technically illegal holding pens now... .

Today is bright and sunny, unfortunately the lower elevation fields are too wet to plant from last week's rain.

It's been a rat-killing day.
All of their holes are flooded.
My Border Jack is loving it - except he hates getting wet.

La Nina years are interesting.
The sky just turned black and it sounded like a freight train just went over.
I sent my staff home about a half hour ago.
Power went off twice and the roads are flooded.
I'll take off as soon as I can see the road's surface.

Across the street, the police station's tower just got hit by lightning.
Got REO cranked up.
Riding the Storm Out!
(Lost connection during that last sentence... .)
