Part of my goal here is to have one site that manages all content, because that way other sites/admin teams can't make the choice to delete relevant information (think: the protestor video taken outside of Mitch McConnell's house that Twitter deleted and disabled his account over.) With that in mind, I'd prefer it if you simply uploaded images here rather than linking to imgur or whatever.

How to do it: Option 1

All you need to do is copy the image in question to your clipboard, and hit control-v to paste, and you get this:

Option 2:

If you'd rather then you can drag the image to the page or use the file attachment button, which yields the option to display as a thumbnail or full-size:

Option 3:

Or, you can go to media at the top of the page and just upload it under a category, or create an album you control and upload to there. If you're posting a meme image, uploading to the meme category or an album of the things will make it much easier to find later.

Easily performed, and everything's controlled here on this site with no dependencies on other web sites and their administrative teams...

Well, that's a point of discussion. Word has macros, which can be really bad.

Can you save it as a PDF file and attach it instead?

As an aside, on a tech forum I saw a post from someone sysadmin dealing the a malware outbreak in Texas. It turns out the biggest infection vector is still macro-enabled Word documents.
