It was the Trump vaccine and natural or acquired immunity.
Check the graph above - the decline started well before the vaccine was available. It was Fauci, then Biden, encouraging safe behavior. So, no, you are incorrect.

Since Trump had zero to do with the vaccine, I think I will call it the Fauci vaccine.

Saint Fauci himself has said 40% of covid infections are asymptomatic, others have said it is much higher. You do the math, how many now have immunity?
Right, but they are still carriers. Unless the whole population is saturated (AKA 'herd immunity'), then they pose a danger, and the numbers would increase. Yet, they decreased. The fact that they are going up again right now (from the Delta variant) demonstrates that we never reached the point of herd immunity (see graph above).

What is Saint Fauci's latest favorite percentage for heard immunity? Probably over 100 % by now, whatever, I really don't care. I have not participated in the pandemic so far and don't intend to start now. I support everybody's right to quarantine, lock down, mask up, whatever. I'll be enjoying other things.

That would all be fine. My advice: let the experts do their thing.

Well it is all about control. They want you to get the vaccine full of nanobots and wear masks with metal nose strips so they can control you with 5G waves.
Or maybe I just don't think wearing a face diaper can prevent the spread of an airborne virus. AND even if it could, how many people wear face masks properly and don't touch them constantly with there contaminated hands? 1 in 100? I bet it's closer to 1 in 1000.

See, this is for experts to determine. Neither you nor I are really qualified to say. Yes, some people wear them wrong. But I don't. Everybody must follow their own moral path, but it should at least be informed by science.

But let's say it reduces communication by 20%. On the ground, over time, that translates to thousands of people. Or tens or hundreds of thousands.

I had a family member almost die from COVID because someone else just ignored the risk and exposed her. That ain't for me.

and just like here in the US, people who are against the fucking masks and vaccines are treated by the government and the complicit media worse than mass murderers.
the dumbfuck schaeuble is the one being arrogant and using cheap slogans !

Wolfgang Schäuble, president of Germany’s parliament, sharply criticized the Querdenker movement Sunday, encouraging people not to be fooled by "cheap slogans."

"If practically all experts worldwide say the coronavirus is dangerous and vaccination helps, then who actually has the right to say, ‘Actually, I’m smarter than that?’" he told the Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung. "To me, that is an almost unbearable level of arrogance."

I am uniquely qualified to say what I think and to decide what I will or will not do.
Yes, some people wear them wrong.
Some? Pick 10 masked douche bags at random tomorrow and watch each of them for 10 minutes. Count how many times they pull the mask on and off and touch it after handling anything and everything else.
let's say it reduces communication by 20%.
Lets say it doesn't reduce jack shit. That translates to zero

Glad she is OK. Hope she got vaxed and had the common courtesy to send Donald Trump a thank you card for paving the way for its development.

I know many people that took every possible precaution to the extreme and still got covid. That's why it is a pandemic.

heard yesterday on a local, conservative talk show a comment from a listener: l

if you have a life insurance and get the vaccine, you might lose you benefits because as of now it is still considered an experimental/emergency drug until approved by the FDA

Anyone bored enough to read the fine print on the contract and confirm this?

I'm too busy watching the paint dry...................
or , the dog ate my magnifying glass.............

never thought of this during our 12 years of skydiving with my wife (before we had kids)

Pfizer, Moderna and J&J all have emergency use authorization. I suppose an insurance company could try to deny benefits although I think that is unlikely. All they would get would be bad PR and have to pay anyway, and potentially more if sued.

Agreed. I have received both RNA vaccines. No connection to my insurance company at all - they didn't even ask for the insurance card. I gave them my name, got a shot, and the vaccination card with my name on it. That was it.

Well, we've gone from pandemic to endemic.
This virus is here to stay.
Like any virus it may become deadly, it may become harmless, it may affect different parts of the population and it will probably change year by year and region by region.
Predicting that it will become generally less dangerous is just wishful thinking.
It will do whatever the mutations cause it to do.

I'd like to think that you are correct, however, we know that they are always looking for a way out.
I did work in NC for 5 years while living in SC, my wife spend days (not hours) to deal with blue cross/blue shield.
The coverage was supposed to be nationwide the same, yet these assholes denied deliberately each and every claim with the permanent excuse that the computer system gave them problems and was different between states (45 miles between locations).

Have as much confidence in insurance companies as I have in politicians and used car salesmen.
