Back in my younger days when I was still risking life and limb, I did a couple of jumps from 23,000 ft. When you step out the door of the plane and it has disappeared - that's alone.

Although you are falling toward it, the ground is a distant four miles below. Except for the noise of the wind in your helmet, there is no reference for motion. So at first you feel suspended in space. Absolutely nothing anywhere around you except air.

It doesn't last long, but for 90 seconds of free fall, you are completely alone. It's kinda awesome...

Has there been any effort to "advertise" NTT on THR? I haven't noticed anything over there. Perhaps a lot of people didn't see the message when THR was down?
