Much of my meaning is derived from the amount of help that I can provide to those that are around me... and it's nice that folks pay me to provide much of this help.

Perhaps it was meant to be.I kinda like the quiet serenity ...
Maybe we can finally have some "real" discussions about true meaning of life and purpose ...
Since The High Road was given birth from The Firing Line with very narrow focus/forum rules of 2A/Right to Keep and Bear Arms with less "noise" and more "signal" model to be "family friendly", there have been many member complaints about thread closures and moderators being heavy handed for posting non-2A/RKBA topics (But moderators are simply fulfilling THR forum rules).
Administrator Derek/@thegunguy created this "all topic discussion" forum in response so non-2A topics not allowed on THR could be discussed along with greater purpose of this forum, "... to help people find the truth ...".

Note, key words "discuss/analyze/post" and not vent/rant/broadcast/argue.
But what I observed during the initial launch of this new forum was some members simply wanted to vent/rant/argue/spam instead of "openly discuss/analyze" and when other members saw that two way civil open discussion or posting without harassment were not going to take place, one by one, they left.
This open public forum is a gift from Derek to THR members. He is generously providing servers/network hardware, license/domain fees, troubleshooting/support, etc. on his own dime; but some members "pooped" and drove other members away.
With the forum cleared of "poopers", perhaps we can fulfill Derek's original intent of the forum to "... find the truth in our complex world" and to discuss topics not allowed on THR.
For many THR members, life goes beyond 2A/RKBA focus and I would be interested in those life interests, hobbies and pursuits.
So, let's give this forum another "proper" restart.
