Brag about your... LAWNMOWER?!

If I’m lucky. It has been hot lately. More like twice a week.
Two dollars of gas and the smell of defense pheromones sure is a good blast of calm. Especially lately.
You're a lucky guy, been so dry here that sometimes it's 10+ days until I can justify mowing. It takes me a little over an hour to mow, a welcome break from the 1&3 year olds that terrorize the house. Sometimes I slow it down but if it's hot I'll try to blast through. I'm still trying to figure out my fertalizer stuff, right now I'm not using any and it needs it bad.
-what are you guys using?

Starlings and sparrows, lol

Surprisingly my lawn is doing pretty well even though I'm not irrigating or fertilizing intentionally. I need to get in gear and step up my lawn game but as a senior in college the bug hasn't bit me yet haha.

Ours is a 5075M John Deere or on occasion a 4020 with an 15 foot tool bar with old fashioned reel type lawn mowers attached to the 3 point hitch.

The kinds of grasses that grow down here on the Border can't handle 12 degrees Fahrenheit, so I've been able to just trim back the surviving stuff with a push mower,
Hurricane season is coming on, so it's time to wake up the old riding mower again... .

What do you got?
I got David. When David was looking to buy a new tractor I helped him out. His brother's now defunct lawn service did all out mowing, edging. blowing and everything else. David wanted a good tractor mower so I cut a deal. Told David I would pay him a grand up front helping him to get what he wanted. This was about 10 years ago while my wife and I were still working and I wanted no part of mowing. My wife has known David's family well over 50 years. I had no desire to mow when I was working and have no desire to mow now. Every year I just pay David a set amount at season start and never worry about the lawn or leaves in the fall and leaves in the gutters. Damn good guy and neighbor.

No clue what he cuts with but as long as my property looks nice I am happy with things. :)
