Biden pushes for EV with new EPA standards for Cars/SUV starting 2027 and Semi-Trucks starting 2032

CA already has plans to ban sale of internal combustion engine (ICE) cars by 2035 and heavy/semi-trucks starting 2035 with total ban by 2045 - https://www.gov.ca.gov/2023/04/28/c...-combustion-trucks-and-protect-public-health/

But the problem has been the lack of infrastructure to support charging of tens of millions of vehicles ... And you thought long lines at gas stations in the 70s were bad.:mad:

I don't see construction of additional charging stations all over the state to properly support charging of hundreds of vehicles at the same time ... Nope. And what about charging/logistics of heavy semi-trucks with unknown range issues?

And now, Biden's new EPA standards are definitely going to force auto/semi-truck manufacturers to incorporate EVs in their total fleet to meet tighter emissions standards:
And the same questions facing CA exist at the federal level:
  • Will there be proper infrastructure to support charging of millions of cars/SUV/vans/pick up trucks?
  • Will there be proper infrastructure to support charging of millions of fleet/delivery trucks, local/regional medium/heavy trucks and national semi-trucks?
I think battery swap could be one solution to quickly get autos/trucks back on the road fast but that infrastructure still needs to be put in place.

And only electric semi-truck that's been road tested is Tesla semi-truck ...

Here's five minute battery swap service but as illustrated by below video "Why battery swapping is a bad idea", faster charging solid state battery packs with 900 mile range Toyota is developing with patents may be a better solution option - https://global.toyota/en/newsroom/corporate/39865919.html
