Anyone catch COVID-19 yet?

I suppose someday perhaps, we'll know the real story...
We all also learn the overreaction at all levels was not only unjustified but harmful

With each day this totally unscientific fear-based lockdown continues we are dying. Not only economically, but socially, and literally. Dying.

Don't know, but I won't get tested. What's the point? Likely to come back positive no matter if I'm infected or not.

Positive or negative, who cares? False positives, false negatives? Doesn't matter. Whichever way it goes you could fall out of favor next month or next year or whenever.

Count me out.

Wife went and got tested to see if she had antibodies, she didn't. We were really strict the first 6 weeks or so; and I spent from April to mid May in a fracture boot, so I wasn't going anywhere anyway. Nowadays, I limit my mask wearing to the store with the highest black populagtion - Walmart, Sam's Club and local grocer Harvey's. These folks do NOT sanitize anything, do not wear mask properly and have the highest number of cases in my county (black majority); otherwise, Publix, Costco (currently MAKES you wear a mask for admission), Lowe's, Home Depot, local liquor store, etc. I simply refuse when possible.

It's pretty bad in the Chicago area. I know of 4 people who died from it and another family member who had it but recovered. I had a number of the symptoms Wednesday morning, and it was bad enough that I had myself tested. Fortunately I don't have it.

In chicagoland too, I know several people who have had it. Out of those just 1 who died- she was 94 and likely may have died from natural causes in that time period anyway- could just be coincidental that she was covid positive.

Numbers get skewed when people who die with Covid but not from it are reported to have died from it. The 4 people I mentioned did die from it. Unfortunatley this has become politicized, so people with agendas skew numbers one way or another to fit their needs.
