I was going over the pre-existing tariffs that Canada imposed on the U. S. - before the 25% hikes.

  • Cheese 245%
  • Butter 298%
  • Chicken 238%
  • Sausages 69.9%
  • Barley seeds 57.8%
  • Bovine/meat 26.5%
  • Cars 25%
  • Steel 25%
  • aluminum 45%
  • Copper 48%
  • HVAC equipment 45%
  • Vacuums 35%
  • Cable boxes 35%
  • TVs 45%
  • Fish 100%
  • Tobacco 100%
  • Consumer goods 30%
  • Lumber 20%
This sounds a bit excessive to me.
I say, free trade with free traders.
All others should pay tariffs...

Now China decided that they weren't going to resist our 145% plus blanket tariffs.
For the next 90 days, they will drop to 30% for most products, while their teriffs on the US drop to 10%
And Great Britain is seeing the light of free(r) trade, as well...

And now Trump threatens a 50% tariff on the E,U and a 25% tariff on Apple products that are not made in the U.S....

The press and the anti-Trumpers keep repeating the line TACO Trade, meaning that Trump Always Chickens Out on his tariffs.
Don't they understand how negotiations and the art of the deal work?
