A feel good thread.

Hey folks,
All the chaos and uncertainty is wearing some of us thin . I don't need to explain , we all have had struggles and disappointment at times and there's no sense in rehashing it here.

How about a thread where you share a time in your life when you were happiest. Could have been when you hooked up with the girl next door when you were 15 or the first time you heard your grandbaby cry. Whatever , doesn't matter-

-for me, I was happiest after my youngest daughter was born and we got her home. My older daughter was about to turn 2, my wife had a difficult pregnancy and the new baby came a little early and had to stay in the hospital a little while for jaundice and such. May 2019.
I was just so happy to have my young family home and work was busy , we had plenty of money , I took off several weeks to help with the new baby . it was springtime and it felt like we didn't have a single problem in the world. Not too long ago.

Life is still good and we get tied up in so much that its easy to forget what we have and how lucky many of us are.

Be well friends.

Beyond finding the love of my life who I've been married to for 55 years and having kids, grandkids and greatgrandkids, I think one of the happy times was in 1962. I had applied for a job at the Post Office and had taken the test and passed it and had an interview. I'd also applied to the local police department as they were establishing a ground breaking police cadet program. Full ride scholarship at the local college and work 20 hours a week for good pay in the various bureaus: graduate to a full time police patrolman. Took the test and had been interviewed.

I received an acceptance letter from both the PO and the PD that I had been accepted for each position on the very same day!!

I went on to have a 7 year career with the local PD. Then I was offered a great job from a very large insurance company that I jumped at and had a great career there for 37 years. The 7 years on the PD had a major influence in my understanding of the human critter.

Wife is visiting one of the kids out of state, made me think of last time she was down here and we got to go to the range. Target is 33 rounds from the one rifle after she got the hang of it again. She was taking a shot of it with her phone. Saying she was sending it to her other half saying "Don't cheat on me" 🤣

My youngest daughter, Miranda. Also known by her rapper name, Baby G. We lost her in 2020 at the ripe old age of 15. Sad but when i see that pic, i remember the great 15 years. I think she belongs on the "feel good" thread.
