Thanks for the reply. I do appreciate it.
It seems you and I have had quite different personal experiences where Democrat voters are concerned. I haven't really met anyone (right or left leaning) I would consider evil, though many who are misguided in some way or another. I can't say I haven't been misguided myself at times.
I certainly understand your feeling with regards to left wing gatherings. Though I think the media almost always puts forth the worst humanity has to offer. After all, it's what sells.
But I'm not sure that getting eligible people registered to vote, or set up for mail-in ballots is any kind of wrong. Though having dead people registered to vote is shameful. But so it gerrymandering. Both parties have their dirty tactics to get what they want. I'd prefer some serious tweaks to our voting system, that might produce some reasonable candidates who might perhaps not be so polarizing. I think most of us just want to get along with each other, but the two party system as it stands makes that very difficult.
I kind of opened a can of worms on my rant. I didn't mean to imply ALL democrats are bad people, the majority mean well but go about things in an entitled backward way. Since the 2016 election the gloves have been off, political tension has never been more in my lifetime. Then you see the best candidate the left can produce is an old rich white guy (exactly who they unfairly demonize) who can barely speak 5 minutes without something outrageous coming out of his mouth, who is in such poor mental health that he clearly is very confused the majority of the time and wasn't any good in his prime anyway. No one can say that Biden's an honest choice that represents their core beliefs and that will protect our way of life. It's another ploy by whoever pulls those strings.
I like trump because he's direct . sometimes coarse and unpleasant , but direct. This is the 21st century , the world never turns off. Any president has cameras in their face multiple times a day, every word gets recorded and analyzed and construed into whatever the media chooses, Trump fires back from a platform that (until recently) allowed him to reach all people with no spin and in context, not an interpretation by someone who hates the guy. Point is, he's real and he's very effective at producing for our country. I don't love everything trump says but I really like what he's done. Not just economically but de-regulation and shaking the whole political world up, love him or hate him - that's a real candidate.
I'll say my mom is a true leftist, not just a Democrat. She thinks everyone should be taxed 75%+ of their income to provide for those who can't or won't provide for themselves. She thinks all guns, including black powder muskets /flintlocks ect. should be banned. She thinks it's a Republican conspiracy that all her wants and needs aren't given directly to her from the government.
- the reality, she moved to Tennessee after retirement at age 50 to avoid the taxes here in Illinois . retire from what? Nothing, she had a job just to kill time for a year here and there but has a master's degree in psychology that never went to use one day in her life. She owns guns and carrys a broken amt backup with the same ammo since the mid 90s, she can have a gun because she's a "good" person but no one else can be trusted, ban everything. She never paid taxes, a couple thousand in her lifetime maybe ,so she's hot on telling everyone how much they should pay. And on and on. It's hypocrisy at its finest.
I know, I'm ranting pretty bad. Point is, I live in Illinois and I'm surrounded by democrats that complain about the environment here but vote for the same scum over and over. Check the top 10 cities in the country for crime- democrat controlled, same story on financially mismanaged cities. Corruption is rampant here, all our governor's retire to prison (mostly). But it should be democrat utopia, they're the ones pulling all the strings, uncontested and have been for generations. Travel to the inner city of chicago, bad doesn't begin to describe the situation. It doesn't have to be like that and I see it as a symptom of the politics of the area.
It's a hushed fact that dramatically higher percentage of Republicans supported the civil rights acts in the 60s than democrats. Republicans want everyone to have the means to make their own future , not promise the world for free and do nothing but line their pockets. The first Republican president freed the slaves. Republicans want to preserve morals , values and traditions for future generations . Democrats want you to be fine with a pervert in a miniskirt wearing devil horns to read stories to small children, if you're not ok with that there's something wrong with you, not them. Just morally corrupt.
