Snafu

This is what happens when you find a Biden flag stretched across the rails to trails at nine in the evening...

I wAs just biking on the trail, and was called got in this trap. My glasses are broken and it took two hours to get home. Why would someone strong a sign across the trail?!!

I get to spend the one weekend my x actually took the kids staying awake to ensure I don’t have a concussion! Why would yo string a sign cord across the bike trail?!

I can’t even type my frustration! Why would some human put a sign cord across the trail?

Sorry for the poor language.

Why on earth! Why would a Biden supporter put a sign on the trail a night? There is no speed at which a bicycle can hit a sign and not succumb to damage!

Geez, had to be kids. I can't see any adult trying to clothesline people riding the trail, I guess someone of any age in possession of a Biden sign is probably mentally unstable .

Glad you're alright, how high was the cord above the ground (where'd it catch you)?

I'm sorry you got hurt. Even if the injuries aren't serious, the damage to property, and the inconvenience of the entire situation are something you shouldn't have to deal with.

Is it at all possible that the moron didn't consider the potential danger of their sign-work, from the perspective of a cyclist? They only thought about it from a pedestrian's point of view, in daylight? Because some people really are that stupid.

Upon further daylight investigation the homeowner has been informed that his children have made a tarp tent out of his fence too close to the trail.
He was actually concerned and apologized and I felt no further conversation was necessary. Kids are kids, I ride at night, I take risks. ( I didn’t tell him he needed a new tarp...
The black bungee went along side the trail and managed to hook my pedal. By the time I tore it from the tarp I was slapped down. Had I been going faster instead of just taking off after an intersection I may have not even noticed. It was a slow motion wreck.
And on second thought, dang, that was a good tent stake. Never even budged.
He did have a Biden sign pointed towards the trail. Perhaps through the blood and ringing I construed the two.
All I knew at the time was to get home.
I did not did not bring up the correlation between his sign and the intelligence of his kids, but I was thinking it.
(Said the adult that crashed his bicycle into the ground because he was riding at night...)

I’m sporting a new inch long gash where the hinge of my glasses tore open my eyebrow. I removed the bits of hair and flesh and bent them back to shape. They’ll have to do till new ones get here.
I’ve elected not to have stitches and should be fine as long as I don’t raise my brow in interest.?

I have ordered an even brighter head lamp.

One of these days maybe I’ll learn.

Next time.?

@Demi-human we match. ?

It pisses people off but that kind of stuff is why I wear a bright ass headlamp when I run/ride in the mornings. Glad you didn't fare any worse. Hopefully the bike isn't messed up too bad bc I hear they don't heal that well.

Cheap whisky, coors light and some rowdy friends I hadn't seen in awhile. Unlike wronghanded here I'm a victim of my own foolishness lol
Coors light? Man, that explains it. That's a recipe for a day on the crapper and a hangover from hell. In my 20s I could drink everything, every night. Now in my later 30s i stick to whiskey (I like rye ) and Guinness (Budweiser if I'm feeling cheap).
Heal up man, you gotta do it all over again soon.

"It's a can of coors, brewed from a mountain stream. It'll set yer head on fire n make yer kidneys scream. Oh it sure is fine."

Lol no kidding. Wearing a mask all day you don't get near as many funny looks, I will say that much.

Indeed! I’m wearing that jacket now!

I will admit my injuries are usually self inflicted, just like now. In the “I should know better...” kind of way.

I have been lucky to never had been a fighter, my mouth usually gets me out of it. The other times my face and knuckles look like this and the problem doesn’t seem so sever after I roll my sleeves up... Usually an amicable solution is found.?

Could someone please get that dang phone?!
