While I agree with you in principle, playing nice and talking nice has gotten us to where we are today. The only way we will ever gain ground is to play by the same rules the left plays by, which is no rules. What is it that asshole Chuck Schumer said? By any means necessary? Ok, Chucky, I'm game.

Well, as an observer outside the Trump orbit, my perception is that Trump's generally aggressive and intentionally offensive attitude is what lost him the election (and possibly congress). Incumbents typically win, but he turned out to be a pretty unlikeable guy, intentionally so, I would argue (in many cases). If you want quotes, I am happy to track them down, but look at the reaction to the first debate for an archetypal example.

Part of his plan seemed to be to deliberately alienate part of America to try to reach another part. That is a pretty cynical way to go, and it cost him in the end. Americans just don't want that from their leaders.

there are some truly vile and nasty people who absolutely hate the United States and will do anything to weaken our position in the world while pandering to our enemies, and strangely enough, the ""main players"" (I call them traitors and criminals) all have chinese connections. They do not give a ratsazz when normal Americans are losing jobs and livelyhood as long as their own pockets are lined up with blood money

just reading names like wassermannschulz, omar, aoc and such make me want to puke and ................

pretty sure that (with the exceptions of the usual suspects) not too many members here are surprised by the double standard:

A rule with no teeth.

Shocker.

And a stupid rule, at that...enacted against members of the House for what members NOT of the House did? Another fine example of "punishing victims by denying them a means of self-defense" through yet another act of infringement on the Second Amendment.

On the one hand, I say "good". Because it's OK by me for our lawmakers to stab themselves on the back like they do us.

On the other hand, I say "this is effed up", because it's yet another example of lawmakers demonstrating that the elite and privileged among us are above the law.

ANY law against the Legislative Branch seems to be without teeth, really.

Like the law that says Congress HAS to pass a budget on time every year. Ever seen any fines levied against violations of the Congressional Budget Act of 1974? No? Me neither.

Right out of the Gestapo Handbook. Happy, America???

One of the criminal arms of the democrats, the fbi, has had hunter's laptop for more than 2 years and nothing has happened, yet they are chasing an un-important computer across the nation, wasting ten's of thousands of dollars.
How about Rudi Giulliani's electronic devices?
General Flinnt?
Carter Page?

Pretty sure nasty-pelosi is lying about it's contents, something this fossil has been doing for the last 80+ years:

That is because there is nothing important on Hunter's laptop. So, yeah, nothing has happened. Shocker.

-And the same right back at you.
-And don't try citing the press - the truth is not in them.

Logic doesn't work that way. If someone makes an assertion (Hunter was selling children to HRC, the moon is made of green cheese, Donald Trump is a serial liar), there has to be evidence of SOME kind. Otherwise, it is an empty assertion.

You have offered nothing.

Your main assertion is that a politician lied.
My response is that I'm utterly shocked... .
Just like I'm shocked that government agencies will not investigate the possibly criminal actions of a powerful long-term politician or members of his family, especially since their party is currently in power... .

Giuliani had the laptop. Plenty of time to release the contents. Where's the beef? As Clara Peller used to ask.

If you want to know about Hunter, read his autobiography. He spills plenty.

The whole 'play on names' ("Nasty" Pelosi) is pretty juvenile. It doesn't auger well for a thread . . . talking about wanting to hit congresspeople (even in jest) with anvils is also not the sign of a likely profitable thread.

After four years of Rump, Cheeto and Orange man you want to put Democrats on the high road?

Remember, Leftists are being clever when they call people mean names.
You're just being evil when you call Leftists by similar mean names, even when those names are true.
When the Left called Trump, "Rump, Cheeto and Orange man", he was supposed to hang his head, mutter "Yeah, you're right" and retire from politics like a good Republican instead of hitting back... .

Say what? Please, make some sense.

No one had more names for opponents than Trump - it was like having a 3rd grader for president. This is where 'nasty Pelosi' comes from. Democrats behave like adults - Pelosi never called Trump 'orange man' or 'Cheeto'.

That was one of the few personal characteristics from Trump that I approved of: When the Media Left sock puppets started their usual chant of "Racist, Sexist, Homophobe", Trump would grin and throw something memorable right back at them - as well as those that ran the sock puppets.
San Fran Nan isn't likely to actually call someone names - she has people to do that for her... .

Sure, some people loved his unpresidential and puerile behavior. But no-one who wants an adult in the White House. And it probably cost him the 2020 election.
