...joe biden's new slogan

Get used to the new slogan for joe's short appearance as president (until camel-hair pushes him down a flight of stairs):
NOTHING WE CAN DO

This is the sob story we will be reading/hearing, mostly followed by:

it's TRUMP's fault.

So easy to predict, just wanted to let you know...................

Biden is a fkng retard. Still don't believe there are an additional 80 million retards in the US. While I will bust my ass to preserve everything I have worked so hard for over the years, I hope the 80 million get every damn thing they have coming to them via their vote. And before I get a shitpot full of responses from those with their panties in a knot, only the guilty need to feel offended.

Yeah, that's me.

Biden is just being honest, something Trump struggled with. He is telling us an unpleasant truth - that the infections will continue. That is the way biology works, unfortunately. I appreciate his refreshing honesty, as opposed to ignoring the problem or lying about it.

And it is largely Trump's fault that our infection rate is so much worse than any other country's. Other places with good leadership have done much better:

Like I posted in another thread, it's probably better Biden is President now because he's going to be blamed for all the bad stuff coming down the pike that's going to happen regardless.

Covid is very deadly. Nobody is dying from flu or pneumonia. And it has been acknowledge that the tests are flawed. The scientist that developed that test many years ago has said it was never meant to detect viruses. Check for yourself.

Wow - some real 'head in the sand' thinking here. The fact is, even if we ignore science of the infection rate, the fact is, more people have died in the US from COVID than died in all of WW2. That is a death rate greater than any other developed nation! And it happened on Trump's watch. He discouraged testing, mask-wearing, and social distancing, so I regard him as partially responsible for the additional 150,000 dead that could have been avoided had we had good leadership. Someone who prioritized the American people over his own ego.

But, CrustyCoot - FYI - there are many tests, not just one. My wife works on one of the tests teams for a large BioTech company, and the test was just recently developed, so what 'some scientist' said about a previous test is irrelevant. No legitimate scientist challenges the US infection rate.

Your logic is flawed. He is just acknowledging that, whatever the plan, things will get worse before they get better. Honest leaders do that.

Winston Churchill famously did the same thing after Czechoslovakia fell:

"I will begin by saying what everybody would like to ignore or forget... we have sustained a total and unmitigated defeat... All is over. Silent, mournful, abandoned, broken, Czechoslovakia recedes into the darkness... We are in the presence of a disaster of the first magnitude which has befallen Great Britain and France. Do not let us blind ourselves to that... Do not suppose that this is the end. This is only the beginning of the reckoning."

And, honestly, pulling quotes out of context is cheap at best, and intellectually dishonest at worst.

Uhh, you actually think China and Russia are reporting accurate numbers? :ROFLMAO:

Hmm, judging by his foreign policy appointments so far, it looks like Joes new slogan should be, "Make Iran Rich Again!"

First off, what exactly was taken out of context? The plan includes food stamps and job protections..... helluva plan, Joe.

Secondly, I do believe this is the second time this week that you've thrown out the accusation of intellectual dishonestly. I guess a few of us need to get in line for the reeducation camp, eh?

And lastly, did you really use the term "honest leader" to describe Joe Biden? I find that laughable. Or did I take that out of context too?

Well, he is a politician, so honest is a relative term. However, relative to Trump, who seemed eager to set new records for dishonesty, Biden is as pure as the driven snow.

And, yes, I think pulling quotes out of context is dishonest. I know the news outlets are prone to it, but that does not make it correct. If you want to make a point, present the full argument, don't just screen-grab a quote. You think Biden is mismanaging the pandemic? OK, present your evidence. You are opposed to federal assistance during the pandemic - OK, that's fine, but make your argument.

But all you did was put two screenshots together, from two very separate contexts, from which we were supposed to infer that Biden was being dishonest, when the contrary was true - he was giving us the hard truth.

BTW - here is a link to the text of full comments from which your quote was taken:

Your re-education camp comment was just a cheap line, so I will leave it at that.

With a 99.5% recovery rate.

How about some articles about Biden's truth telling?

https://710wor.iheart.com/featured/...y-times-joe-bidens-been-caught-in-major-lies/

https://pjmedia.com/news-and-politi...s-biggest-lies-from-his-cnn-town-hall-n942822

https://thehill.com/opinion/campaign/499065-lies-damned-lies-and-the-truth-about-joe-biden

https://www.westernjournal.com/deva...n-caught-repeatedly-lying-5-minutes-straight/

There are probably plenty more articles about Biden's lying. The question I think all of us should ask is do we look at the information with a critical eye? Or do we just accept the reporter's or writer's article as factual?

I don't know about you but I learned I have to read and distill the news with a bit of salt. I also consider the source and if the writer is biased or opinionated to the point where they <unintentionally>inject their slant into their words.

Does Trump exaggerate or stretch the truth? No doubt in my mind Trump at times exaggerate so badly, it can be thought of as outright lies or falsehoods. On the other hand, is Biden innocent in not lying to the people? Nope. He has his faults too.
